Inspiration/References and Plan of Attack

For this project, I wanted to work on a liquid simulation. I looked at several kinds of liquids and landed on this dear tea infuser pot.

I like this because you can see some bubbles when the water is first poured, you can see steam in the top glass and you can see how the steam and water fill the bottom cup when it's released. It seems like a really fun challenge to simulate.


Plan of Attack

The main focus of my project is to do a liquid simulation of hot water. I want to work on making the glass steam up, and making the water move believably from the initial pour into the last cup.


For the water, I plan to use pop fluid as opposed to a Vellum Fluid or a Flip Sim. The steam will be done with Pyro. If all goes well, I want to work on the leaves as well. The reference for the leaves is in the video below.
